Swedasia
Travels is a different travel agency where
the selling of air tickets and planning
of travel destinations don´t exclude
many other activities.
We also contribute to develop the possibilities
of swedish small-scale entrepreneurs getting
a foot inside the vast market of India and
helping
them find easy forms to establish themselves
there.
In the year 2001 we moved our offices from
Stockholm to Strängnäs where a
dedicated team of five persons now works
to give service to our customers.
Our ambition is high. Nothing should be
impossible when it comes to realizing your
travelling wishes once you have chosen one
of our destinations.
We are an expansive travel agency with more
than 30 years´ experience of
India and Nepal. That means we have unique
knowledge of those countries which few other
travel agencies have. In addition to that,
we have also
specialized in Ladakh, Sikkim, Bhutan, Tibet,
Mongolia, Thailand and Sri
Lanka.

The activities of our
company can be summed up in these points |
- Selling of scheduled flight tickets
all over the world.
- Arranging private accomodation and living
in or visiting buddhist monasteries, house-boats,
jungle lodges, health centers, yoga schools
and meditation centers.
- Individual travel planning (fee: 500
SEK) with free advice, lectures, courses
and documentation - as per agreement.
- Individual journeys for studying, business,
conferences, trade fairs etc (India, Nepal).
- Transfers from airports, sightseeing,
guides, car transports, being picked
up at airports (India, Nepal).
- Lectures, courses, practical information,
documentation before you leave (India,
Nepal, Thailand)
- Contacting embassies and consulates,
visa applications (tourist and
business visas for India, Nepal).
- Aid for students doing higher examinations
at universities and high schools and for
documentations and papers on medical treatment
and development aid in India and Nepal

Owners and Network |
Swed-Asia Travels has very good connections
with business people, embassies, consulates
and with authority persons and others
persons in leading positions in the Indian
and Nepalese society.
These contacts are founded on the wide
and long experience of one of the owners,
Kjell Borneland, who for more than 30
years has travelled in India and Nepal
for several employers and who has lived
and worked in India for prolonged periods.
Kjell Borneland has made more than 130
journeys to India, 28 journeys to Nepal
and 5 journeys to Tibet. He has also travelled
more than once to Pakistan, Afghanistan
and Sri Lanka. Kjell is responsible for
Swed-Asias exotic travel destinations.
Tina Höijer is, together with Kjell
Borneland, co-owner of Swed-Asia Travels.
Tina has very extensive knowledge of Thailand,
but also of Burma (Myanmar) and India.
Tina´s travel experience also includes
the Transsiberian Railway and the whole
of Southeast Asia. She has an education
in international tourism and an examination
from IATA/UFTA in Genéve. Tina
is responsible for Swed-Asia´s flight
bookings and for contacts with foreign
airlines. |
